The most recent episode went beyond infuriating. I am European..At my stop-over in Abu dhabi I was made to wait 23 minutes at the check-in counter while a rude man with no name tag examined my papers; which I may add had already been examined by passport control.(almost missed my flight cuz he didn't even bother to let thte hostesses know he was keeping someone there). If passport control in Abu dhabi is so useless and *** why keep them there, why not just keep the smart-*** etihad people there instead!!?! 127d366

| 2. Written by OMG!! I thought I was the only on February 23, 2012 from chicago, illinois, US I traveled with them 2 years ago- they were good (not great). Traveled with them last month and OMG - everything about the experience was screwed up - ground staff, our pre-ordered vegetarian meal turned out to be lamb, inflight staff was missing for 6-8 hours of the 13.5 hour flight. The luggage did get to the destination. However, I am SERIOUSLY DREADING the return flight with them! Contacted customer service (twice), still awaiting response - will update this forum if I get a response. Take my advise- fly anything except Etihad or US based carriers. US domestic traveled sucked and now international travel is learning the "worst best practices" from US domestic carriers and applying them on international travel to cust costs. ![]() |

The ground staff were ok and I had a 20 hr layover in Abu Dhabi . Didn't really have any hassles-although the airport hotel was full. But it ended up better as I hailed a cab and got a hotel outside for much cheaper! |

Funny enough, their on flight staff is normally so well behaved and friendly. Etihad PLEASE DO SOMETHING about your ground staff or you are definitely going to lose customers fast |

I used Etihad twice and will never again thank you very much, so much for royal service. Perhaps they should teach their staff manners before they hire them. |
